I think it’s so cool that I have all these neat things to photograph in my backyard. Before getting my camera, I never noticed any of these things. I think that is why I love macro photography so much; finding beauty in things everybody else doesn’t even see.
I think it’s so neat the way the leaves fan out like that!
This is the smaller wedding I did a couple of weeks ago. Kelsey is actually our sitter during the day, so the kids came with me. Interesting time trying to shoot and keep my kids safe and out of trouble at the same time. But we had a good time, and she is really happy with her gallery.
Here are a few of my favorites:
Ok, so that was more than just a few. Keep an eye out for some macros coming up!
I know I’ve been seriously slack on updating with new photographs. I second shot for a big wedding, and that knocked the wind out of me. Never again! I don’t know how you wedding photographers do it, but hats off to you. I will add that I don’t mind small weddings.
I’ve also been working on my website, which up until now, has been hurry up and wait. Finally starting to get it together, just as soon as I learn flash and CSS, then relearn HTML. Sheesh.
I really need to catch up, right? I’ll post the big wedding here, then over the next few days, I’ll post the smaller wedding, and lots of macros. I’ve been busy!
Here’s the wedding from the beginning of August. I’ve posted the ones I like, rather than what the bride and groom would like.
A few of my favorites from this past week.
This first one isn’t actually a macro, but I like it enough to post. This is out the kitchen window. You can even see the screen!
This one is my favorite:
The backside of a sunflower, backlit:
The inside of a sunflower. I did not add water, this is just what they look like:
I took this in my kitchen sink. It was kind of dark, but I do love the side lighting:
